Notă biografică

June Wei, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Management and Management Information Systems, University of West Florida. She earned her PhD from Purdue University, a master’s degree from Georgia Institute of Technology, and another master’s degree from Zhejiang University. Her research interests cover electronic supply chain management, information security and privacy in mobile electronic commerce, and mobile electronic commerce systems development.


She is editor-in-chief of three peer-reviewed leading journals on information systems: International Journal of Mobile Communications; Electronic Government, an International Journal; and International Journal of Electronic Finance. She is also an associate editor of three peer-reviewed journals: Journal of Electronic Commerce Research, Journal of Information Privacy and Security, and International Journal of E-Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She teaches courses on business information systems development, systems design and analysis, operations management problems, and electronic business fundamentals. She has published about 150 papers with about 60 peer-reviewed journal articles and three book chapters.


Dr. Wei has won many awards for her research, including the Distinguished Writing Award of the Foundation for Information Technology Education and the Education Special Interest Group of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (2004 and 2005) and the Best Paper Award sponsored by Emerald Publisher in International Conference on Accounting, Business, Leadership, and Information Management (2010). She has been recognized at a Florida Board of Trustees meeting (2011). She has also been recognized by the University of West Florida with the Distinguished Research and Creative Activities Award (2010) and the Distinguished Teaching Award (2012), and the Dyson Award for Excellence in Research from the College of Business (200
