Moving Target

en Limba Engleză Paperback
In 1974 Los Angeles two young writers, one white, one black, investigate the firebombing of a Korean grocery. When it is not reported by major city papers, they suspect that the LAPD and local officials are neglecting to report the true scope of crime in the inner city, particularly in Watts. A plan is hatched, to produce a book and/or screenplay based on their findings. But as they undertake their mission they are unaware that they are being watched by black militants and a young LAPD detective, who have their own ideas about how the situation should be handled. At the same time they begin to put out feelers in Hollywood, hoping their project will reach the big screen. They struggle to control the outcome as chaos threatens to engulf them. And they wonder if their first project will turn out to be their last.

Notă biografică

Nik Edge has produced novels that combine elements of suspense, politics, and comedy. Their subject matter is sometimes futuristic, although primarily historical. His books have touched on Pontiac's Rebellion of 1763 and the Vietnam War. In the recent past he has focused most of his attention on the decade of the 1970s, primarily focusing on Los Angeles, where he grew up. A previous book- A Natural Light Show-began his exploration of the period. As the son of a poet/performance artist and a painter/sculptor, he was exposed to a number of eccentric characters, who have contributed to his vision. He is always seeking to meld comedy with suspense, without taking away from narrative drama. He expects to write more novels set in the 1970s.
