This book attempts to address the aforementioned challenge.

Nadeesh M. Adassooriya is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Chemical & Process Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He received his PhD in Engineering (Materials) from University of Cambridge, UK.
Ryan Rienzie is presently a Lecturer attached to the Department of Agricultural Biology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He received his bachelors and master's from the same university.
Nadun H. Madanayake is a Lecturer at the Department of Botany, Faculty of Science, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He obtained his B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in Microbiology from University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.
Ryan Rienzie is presently a Lecturer attached to the Department of Agricultural Biology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He received his bachelors and master's from the same university.

With the advancement of nanotechnology, the usage of nanoscale materials in industrial applications has increased exponentially, which is triggering the release of nanomaterials into the environment deliberately or accidentally.
