Recenzii
Review from previous edition It should remain a standard reference work for years to come ... Enz's account is a work of impressive scholarship, allied to a sympathetic insight into the character and milieu of his subject. He is owed a debt of gratitude by all physicists, historians of science and by anyone interested in the story of those heroic years when our understanding of the physical world underwent such radical change.
It is a fascinating reading, indeed, the life of this famous physicist, the evolution of his thinking, the world of his dreams, ideals, accomplishments and failures. Highly recommended to all those working in the field, and, equally of lovers of good literature
This book is a labour of love ... it is a marvellous, meaty, read.
Enz's portrait fascinates.
Enz has given us an authentic portrait of one of the great spirits of our time.
A must for any physics library.
An immensely valuable book... a gold mine of information, not only about Pauli himself but also about the rich history of quantum physics... providing many invaluable notes and references.
