Not Today, Maybe Tomorrow

Autor Mark Will
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 9 dec 2022
Today, Michael's parents are taking him to the skating rink. He's going to try skating, and he couldn't be more excited! Except ... the other skaters sure do move fast. And what if he falls down? What if they crash into him? Michael has all the equipment he needs, but something is still missing. Not today, he thinks. Maybe tomorrow. With a little encouragement from his parents, and some cheerful reassurance from his best friend, Michael sets off for the rink again. Will this be the day? Will Michael overcome his fear, and find out just how much fun a new experience can be? This book is all about taking chances, facing your fears, and finding out how much fun there is on the other side of tomorrow.

Notă biografică

Mark Will grew up in Toronto, and lives there now with his wife and daughter. He was an NCAA hockey player and is a long-time hockey instructor and coach. He's spent thousands of hours in hockey rinks teaching hundreds of children how to skate. This book, his first, is based on his own childhood memory of skating for the first time. He is so grateful to Catherine (his Grade 6 teacher!) for collaborating on this story. In the daytime, Mark teaches high school history. In the nighttime, he sleeps-because sleep is important for our health, and we should all zzzzzz... Catherine is a retired art educator and lives in Maple, Ontario, where she spends her days focused on family and the creative arts. Painting and playing music are her passions, and she loves having the time to develop as an artist. The creative process of illustrating this book brought back exciting childhood memories of a skating rink and the joyful times she spent with her 3 children in their early years. She is thankful for the many students, like Mark, who made a difference and gave her inspiration and purpose in this world.
