`the authors ... prepare the reader for a thorough interest in, and understanding of, the difficulties likely to be faced by those covening in New York in April 1995. It also makes abundantly clear the importance of success and the dangers of failure'Bulletin of Arms Control
`This study of negotiations towards a replacement for the 1968 Non-Profliferation Treaty (NPT), which expires next year, could not be more timely ... The book gives a rundown of the world's nuclear `suspects'.The Engineer
`The work contains a very detailed account of the negotiation process through the successive review conferences.'NOD & Conversion
`This book is a timely and comprehensive overview of the subject ... This book clearly sets out what will be at stake in April 1995.'Global Security
The authors of Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Global Order manage to bring both international developments and diplomacy together in a comprehensive analysis. This is a major achievement ... a laudable book ... well written and accessible even to the non-expert ... will be a useful guide to the issues at stake.
...an admirably thorough summary of the issues surrounding the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT); an analysis rooted in an impressive understanding of the diplomatic niceties and nuances which, unfortunately no doubt, can exert such a disproportionate influence over events.
