FULL COLOR INTERIOR. The letters that make up this book are an honest first hand account of events on a Forward Operating Base in Eastern Afghanistan. The intent is to convey my exprience to those back home who have never been to a third world country, let alone a combat zone. My experiences over the course of 4 months are detailed in weekly letters to friends and family back home. I simply desired to share what many have found to be boring experiences through the eyes of someone who looked for something each week to comment about. Reading back through my letters, I found that daily events and occurances can have an impact on someone elses view of life when presented in a manner that opens the mind's eye to something different and new. Much of the content in the letters is viewed through the lens of my personal Spiritual beliefs. I hope that as you read through this book, you will just briefly experience with me what life is like for some of the many members of the United States Military.
