Recenzii

'Odin Teatret: Theatre in a New Century combines history and analysis seamlessly in a timely study of Eugenio Barba and the Odin Teatret's current work. Ledger's research provides a wealth of unique insights into Barba's work. He engages devised theatre practice and theory as a means of better understanding his dramaturgical methods, for example. He also provides the first comprehensive discussion of Barba's large scale Theatrum Mundi productions in English through the dual lenses of Barba's production history and his intercultural research. He offers a rethinking of the Odin's Barter and Festuge activities as social rather than aesthetic activities; and he provides the first detailed descriptions and discussions of the Odin's Festuge activities in English.' - Ian Watson, Professor of Theatre and Chair, Department of Arts, Culture and Media, Rutgers University-Newark, USA
'Considering the significance and longevity of Odin's work, Ledger's documentation of almost fifty years, charting its birth, middle age, and more intensely its senior citizenship in theatre history is timely, exhaustive, and accessible. Ledger suggests a thought-provoking application of the company's relevance in the twenty-first century through notions of community, re cycling, site-specificity and process-based performance, giving a comprehensive account of Odin's proliferating pedagogical work.' - Carran Waterfield, New Theatre Quarterly
