Oranges

Autor Rosalie Marsh
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 16 apr 2013
In the cold and damp of a British winter, young Charlotte is fascinated by the orange, which she holds in her hands. She wonders about the sunshine lands, which are warm enough to ripen oranges. A delightful contemporary novel built on a dream as young Charlotte falls asleep and dreams of those sunshine lands where oranges ripen in winter. Her dreams take her into the future; with her friend Daisy, she finds herself in Estoril, Portugal where a handsome Portuguese stranger captures her heart. After the escapades in the hills near Obidos with Daisy, Charlotte's dreams take her into Andalucía, to the winter sun of southern Spain where she meets her Portuguese Senhor again with a promise for the future. The detailed descriptions of the west Central of Portugal and the interior and mountains of Andalucía, bring to life the sights and sounds of the Iberian Peninsula as Charlotte and Daisy live life to the full. Does Charlotte find oranges? Who is the handsome Portuguese Senhor? Are they really dreams? Or reality?

Recenzii

"Well worth reading." Jean Mead.Author. 2 April 2013. "You successfully weave the inner life of your heroine with the outside world, which cannot be easy to do." Amazon Reader, France. "Look out for this author, she is a rising talent. Read her other book on two older folks travelling on a motorbike so she is one to watch." Haydn Jones 24.04.2013. Amazon UK. " ...the setting is superb." Amazon Reader. 01.04.2013. Praise for Rosalie Marsh. JUST US TWO Travel Books. "...not only a gifted author who can bring her travel books alive, enticing the reader to visit the places she writes about. She has a wonderful sense of the ridiculous and her style as raconteur means that the reader feel she is talking personally, wryly smiling as the two of you sip wine in front of a winter fire!"
