This book explores a range of critical issues and emerging topics relevant to the linkages between information technologies and organizational systems. It encourages debate and opens up new avenues of inquiry in the fields of Information Systems, organization and management studies by investigating selected themes of growing research interest from multiple disciplinary perspectives such as organizational innovation and impact, information technology, innovation transfer, and knowledge management.
The volume is divided into two sections, each of which focuses on a specific theme: ICT, organizational innovation and change; and ICT and knowledge management. The content of each section is based on a selection of the best papers (original double-blind peer-reviewed contributions) presented at the annual conference of the Italian chapter of the AIS, held in Genoa, Italy in November 2014.

Notă biografică

Cecilia Rossignoli is Full Professor of Organization Science at the University of Verona (Italy). Previously she served as Assistant Professor at the Catholic University of Milan. She is member of the faculty of the Graduate School Graduate School of Economics and Management , University of Verona and Padua. Her research and teaching interests cover the area of information systems and organizational change, the role of IS in inter-organizational information systems, electronic markets and the impact of Business Intelligence Systems SME. On this subject she has published more than 110 papers and books. Her works were published in the Journal of Electronic Commerce Research, in the Journal of Information Systems and e-Business Management and Electronic Markets.
Mauro Gatti is Full Professor of Organization Science in the Department of Management at “Sapienza” University of Rome (Italy). His research interests range from Corporate Social Responsibility – Sustainability and Social Innovation to Human Resource Management and Work Design. He has been working as a consultant for many Italian big companies, especially in the fields of compensation and rewarding and business process reengineering. He also offered consulting services for training programs in the fields of Organization and Human Resource Management at various Italian companies.
Rocco Agrifoglio, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems at “Parthenope” University (Naples, Italy). His primary research interests are technology acceptance and usage, as well as its effects on individual and organizational performance, IS continuance, and e-court. He has participated as speaker in several international conferences, including Mediterranean Conference of Information Systems (MCIS), European Group of Organizational Studies (EGOS) and Conference of Italian Chapter of AIS (ItAIS). He has published numerous papers in journals, including Journal of Computer
Information Systems (JCIS), Behaviour & Information Technology (BIT), and International Journal of Technology Management (IJTM).
