We seem to have moved as a church into a norm that seeks largely to tickle people's hearts rather than grounding them into true and simple discipleship. The result has been a "vibrant" church full of people seeking blessings from God rather than searching for the God of blessings, a shift in emphasis from worshipping the Lord purely for who He is to placing the spotlight indirectly on ourselves. Then, when life takes us through seasons of pain, which are inevitable, we fall apart, often feeling abandoned and failing to feel His touch. OUTPACED seeks to steer people from self back to our Heavenly Father and addresses practical ways of dealing with problems in general, highlighting the pitfalls of worry, fear, pride, and debt, as well as shedding light on marriage as a cohesive family unit and looking squarely at the reality of death and how to weather it. The author effectively uses Job, David, Peter and Mandela as strong examples to follow when we are facing trials and the storms of life.
