This edited volume concerns Higher Education and the aftermaths of the COVID-19 pandemic. It comprises a wide reflection on the impact of the public health crisis derived from the COVID-19 pandemic on Higher Education and addresses the main question: what will it be like from now on? The collection includes a range of theoretical and methodological approaches highlighting conceptual, contextual and cultural issues; thus the chapters are of rather diverse types, including theoretical essays, exemplary case studies, reports from around the world describing concrete intervention projects, and studies in a wide range of disciplines.

Notă biografică

Susana Gonçalves, PhD in Psychology, is a Professor at the Polytechnic of Coimbra. Her main research interests are art in education, citizenship and Higher Education. Among other publications, she co-edited the books Art in Diverse Social Settings (Emerald, 2021), Art and Intercultural Dialogue (Sense, 2016), The Challenges of Diversity and Intercultural Encounters (Routledge, 2013) and Intercultural Policies and Education (Peter Lang, 2011).

Suzanne Majhanovich is Professor Emerita and Adjunct Research Professor at the Faculty of Education, University of Western Ontario in London, Canada. Her research interests include first and second language acquisition, ESL teaching in international contexts, globalization, education restructuring, decentralization and privatization of education. She is the author of numerous articles and books. Most recently she co-edited Art in Diverse Social Settings (Emerald, 2021).
