Katarzyna Stachowiak is a conference interpreter and co-founder of the Polish Association of Conference Interpreters. She works as an assistant professor at the University of Warsaw, Poland, conducting research on interpreting and translation processes, products and skill development.

Phonology is an important yet still understudied aspect of Interpreting Studies and interpreting performance. Phonological quality also matters in interpreting practice.
