Notă biografică
S Umesha is Associate Professor at the Department of Biotechnology in University of Mysore. He did his doctorate in Applied Botany from University of Mysore and postdoctorate from Virginia Tech University, USA. His fields of specialization include plant biotechnology, molecular diagnostics of plant/animal pathogens, and host–pathogen interactions.
Descriere
Plant Biotechnology covers topics such as tissue culture, micro/macronutrients, solidifying agents/supporting systems, growth regulators, plant genetic engineering for productivity and performance, resistance to herbicides and abiotic stresses, molecular marker aided breeding, molecular markers and types of markers. Different aspects in plant biotechnology, commercial status and public acceptance, biosafety guidelines, gene flow and IPR have been also thoroughly examined.
