Jay is just starting out his life with a new apartment, a new job, and a new girlfriend. His life is going along just the way he likes it - simple, ordinary, and predictable. His assignment at the Animal Control Facility takes an unexpected turn when mythical creatures turn up at the shelter. He takes the bizarre animals home despite the ever-increasing problems at work, at home, and with his relationships. Only when he meets up with the Aztec moon goddess does he begin to make sense of his life.
