Notă biografică

Ashwani Sharma is Principal Lecturer in Media and Cultural Studies at the University of East London, UK, where he teaches in the areas of race and representation, globalization and media, postcolonial cultures, film, popular culture, critical theory and psychoanalysis. He is founder and co-editor of the online journal 'darkmatter' and co-established and coordinates the race network for the Media, Communications and Cultural Studies Association. Before entering higher education Ashwani was a filmmaker and worked at the BBC.
