Raw Blue

Autor Kirsty Eagar
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 31 iul 2012
Shame isn't a quiet grey cloud, shame is a drowning man who claws his way on top of you, scratching and tearing your skin, pushing you under the surface. Carly might be living but it's not much of a life, working the late shifts in a kitchen in Manly, renting alone and trying to get by without being noticed. The only time she feels alive is when she's on the ocean, when life is only about the swell of the sea and your feet on the board. Out on the waves she can forget about everything - forget her own dark secret - and enjoy the moment. But Carly can't surf forever.

Kirsty Eagar's Young Adult novels have won and been shortlisted for numerous literary awards, including the Victorian Premier's Literary awards, the Ethel Turner Award for Young Adult fiction, the Queensland Premier's Literary Awards, the Western Australia Premier's Literary Awards and the Gold Inky. Her most recent novel, Summer Skin, was described by The Age as "utterly compelling", a must-read for teens for its frank discussion of love, sex and relationships. Kirsty is currently writing the screenplay for the feature film adaptation of her novel, Raw Blue. A strong believer in access to quality education for all, she is also focused on developing Little Wins Writing, a suite of writing resources for students, teachers and anyone interested in creative performance. Kirsty is married with two daughters and splits her time between Sydney's northern beaches and her mother's farm in Central Queensland. She surfs most days and competes in the infamous North Narrabeen boardriders' club.
