Raza de Bronce

With Raza de bronce, Alcides Arguedas initiated the literary trend called "neoindigenism" which depicts the social, political, economic, and cultural reality of the original Latin American communities. The intention of the author is reflects the dilemma and confrontation of identities and societies characterized by cultural heterogeneity. With an undercurrent of evident social denunciation, Raza de bronce is one of the first Latin American novels that narrates the life of the indigenous of the plateau of Bolivia.
