Michele Chang (College of Europe), Georg Menz (Goldsmiths University of London) and Mitchell P. Smith (University of Oklahoma) are former co-chairs of the European Union Studies Association’s Political Economy Interest Section.

This edited volume considers the major advances in euro area economic governance since the onset of the sovereign debt crisis in 2009. This includes financial integration, fiscal policy cooperation, external economic relations and the role of EU institutions, particularly the rise of the ECB.
