Zhou Li, currently director-general, CASS Rural Development Institute, professor and doctoral advisor. Awarded the title of young and middle-aged experts with remarkable contributions. Recipient of the State Council Special Governance Allowance; Elected director-general of the Academic Committee on China Society of Forest, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Economics, deputy director-general of the Academic Committee on China Ecological Economics Society,  China Forestry Economics Society; Member of  the Advisory Committee on Food and Nutrition; Member of the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and national committee on China Biosphere Reserves Network. Assistant professor at School of Economics, Peking University and School of Economics and Management, Beijing Forestry University; Member of editorial board at Economic Research Journal,  China Economic Quarterly, Scientia Silvae Sinicae, Acta Ecologica Sinica, Journal of Natural Resources,  Chinese Journal of Eco-Agricultural, Journal of Ecological and Rural Environment and other scholarly publications. Areas of study include rural economy and eco-economics. Author of over 300 papers, articles and books in both English and Chinese in recent 30 years. Winner of The Sun Yefang prize; Winner of over 20 national or provincial-level awards for outstanding research.
