Relativistic Hadrons in Cosmic Compact Objects: Proceedings of a Workshop Held in Koninki/Suhora, Poland 9–11 October 1990: Lecture Notes in Physics, cartea 391

Editat de Andrzej A. Zdziarski, Marek Sikora
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 23 aug 2014
The articles in this book deal with energetic hadronprocesses near astrophysical compact objects, includingcompact binary systems and active galactic nuclei. A varietyof observational results suggest that relativistic hadronscan be produced in the vicinity of these objects. Amongthetopics treated in detail are the question whether a largefraction of the energy produced by active galactic nuclei ischanneled into a population of relativistic protons and theproblem of the origin of very high and ultra-high energygamma rays from galactic compact sources.
