Preface More than a century ago our Sun was hit by a shooting neutron star. The impact created a solar magnetic super flare a billion times greater than any coronal mass ejection or solar flare previously seen. The super flare, filled with radiation, sent a shock wave out into our solar system hitting the Earth killing billions of people, demolished cities and swept away the satellites that allowed us to communicate across the globe. Once again those that survived did so with a resilient transition into today's world. The oceans, protected for the most part by its reflective surface, have become the main source of food. The Earth's rotation now spins at a slower rate than before causing the days to be longer and gravity to be weaker. Governments fell leaving what few surviving private companies to forge ahead. What was left of the policing agencies and armed forces transitioned into the new societies created and built by corporations that survived the financial hardships, rebuilding a handful of cities where laws were now enforced by the Sec Guardians.
