journalism,

research

on
the
effect
of
climate
change

on

McIlwainis
a
recently
retired
Senior
Lecturer

University

biologist
by
education,
he
had
a
successful
journalism
career
in
Australia
for
twenty
years,
culminating
as
News
Editor

Sunin
Brisbane.

joining
academe

1987,

spent

of
his
research
time

science
journalism
and
its
connection
to
the
