Umesh Chandra Pandey is Regional Director of Indira Gandhi National Open University, India. His current research interests include open and distance learning, best practice in governance and sustainable development. Chhabi Kumar is currently working within the Department of Sociology and Social Work at Rani Durgavati University, India. Her research interests include issues in higher education, open and distance learning, sustainable development and gender issues.
