Notă biografică
Olufemi Akinsanmi obtained his B. Agric (Hons) Plant Science and MPhil (Plant Science) degrees from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria in 1992 and 1997, respectively. Having worked as an academic staff in the same university for 8 years, focusing on diseases of cerels and legumes, he proceeded to obtain a PhD degree from the University of Queensland (VQ) in 2004. For his doctoral thesis, Femi worked on "Etiology and diversity of Fusarium species causing head blight of wheat in Australia" with Dr Sukumar Chakraborty (CSIRO Plant Industry, Brisbane) as the principal advisor. Femi took up a postdoctoral research position with the CRC for Tropical Plant Protection / VQ to work on husk spot disease in Macadamia with Dr Andre Drenth in 2004.
