Recenzii
A sexuality counselor for cancer patients provides a head-to-toe overview of how sexuality is affected by illness and injury. Following an introduction to the mechanical and social aspects of sexuality and when to seek help, Katz (RN, PhD, U. of Manitoba) discusses sexual functioning challenges and solutions relating to specific life stages, conditions, treatment side effects, and surgical procedures: e.g., young adulthood, cancer (in men and women), combat injury, depression, and colon surgery. The book includes case studies, coping tips, and suggested reading and Web resources for patients and professionals.
