Solar Assisted Ground Source Heat Pump Solutions: Effective Energy Flows Climate Management: SpringerBriefs in Applied Sciences and Technology

Autor Francesco Reda
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 16 dec 2016
This book analyses solar-assisted ground-source heat pump systems, a technology meant for producing heating and cooling energy for buildings. It focuses on ground source heat pump, reversible central heating and cooling system that transfer heat from or to the ground, applications which use solar thermal collectors.
Providing deep insights into energy-saving, solar thermal system operating strategies, it illustrates examples of useful configurations and controlling approach for different climates for different vertical ground heat exchanger depths.
Offering an overview of solar assisted ground source heat pump systems, including design principles and energy-performance data for different climates, it is a valuable resource for designers and scientists who focus on building heating and cooling technologies.

Notă biografică

Francesco Reda has about 10-year experience in R&D of renewable energy production system for district and/or building applications. Currently Senior Scientist at VTT Ltd. He gained a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering and has a background in energy building research field with a deep expertise in heating and cooling systems, system energy performance assessment, NZEB and solar technologies. His research is centred on renewable energy system applications for enabling the transition towards net zero energy buildings and districts. He is currently active in several European and International cooperation projects.

Caracteristici

Analyzes the solar-assisted ground source heat pump system – a heating and cooling energy production technology for residential buildings Describes the solar thermal system operating strategies that are used to maximize energy saving in different locations across Europe Compares the performance of such technologies with that of conventional, ground-source-heat-pump-only systems, for different borehole heat exchanger depths Includes supplementary material: sn.pub/extras
