Biography47Gordon Brotherston is Professor in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, Stanford University, USA, and Emeritus Professor, University of Essex, UK. His publications include The Emergence of the Latin American Novel (1977); Image of the New World (1979), and Voices of the First America (1986).
