Streamline Simulation

Autor Akhil Datta-Gupta, Michael J. King
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 19 sep 2021
Streamline Simulation: Theory and Practice provides a systematic exposition of current streamline simulation technology-its foundations, historical precedents, applications, field studies, and limitations. We emphasize the unique features of streamline technology that in many ways complement conventional finite-difference simulation. Part of our motivation in developing this textbook has been to fill gaps in the mathematical foundations and provide a rigorous presentation of streamline simulation technology that had not existed before.

Notă biografică

Akhil Datta-Gupta is Professor and holder of the LeSuer Endowed Chair in Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M University in Collect Station. He is well-known for his contributions to fast flow simulation methods and dynamic data integration into high-resolution geologic models. Datta-Gupta is a recipient of SPE's 2003 Lester C. Uren Award for significant technical contributions to petroleum reservoir characterization and streamline-based flow simulation. He is an SPE Distinguished Member, Distinguished Lecturer, and Distinguished Author, and twice received the SPE Cedric K. Ferguson Certificate for the best peer-approved paper. In addition to his SPE awards, Datta-Gupta is a recipient of the AIME Rossiter W. Raymond Award and has served on numerous technical and advisory committees for the industry and professional societies. He holds a BS degree from the Indian School of Mines and MS and PhD degrees in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
