The texts to be presented in this edition had been in the possession of the late Dr Paul Kecskemeti, who was a close associate of Karl Mannheim and a distinguished social scientist in his own right. The published version rests upon a photocopy of the typescripts, which Dr Kecskemeti allowed to be made some years ago.
