Recenzii
"To the best of my knowledge, this is the first research monograph on substrate integrated antennas and arrays. This authoritative work has provided novel and practical microwave and millimeter wave planar antenna design techniques based on the SIW concept. Written by an outstanding expert in the field … contains the most up-to-date theory, design, and prototyping of substrate integrated antennas and arrays."
—Duixian Liu, IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, New York
"Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) is a very important technology for millimetre-wave circuits and array antennas in satellite communications and 5G mobile systems where low loss is critical. This book is comprehensive and timely, and will be a useful reference for graduate students and RF engineers."

Descriere
This book provides a single source for cutting-edge information on substrate integrated circuit (SIC) and substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) antenna technologies. The text describes an SIC-based antenna technique with the potential to replace existing antenna technologies, examines theoretical and experimental results connected to electrical and mechanical performance, and explains how to overcome difficulties in meeting bandwidth, gain, and efficiency specifications. It presents research useful to the development of wireless communication base station antennas, portable microwave point-to-point systems, collision avoidance radars, conformal antennas, and satellite antennas.
