Notă biografică

Hemanta Hazarika is Professor at the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyushu University, Japan. His research activities include disaster prevention and mitigation, soil-structure interaction, stability of soil-structures during earthquakes and tsunami, ground improvement, application of recycled waste and lightweight materials in construction, stability of cut slopes, and landslides and countermeasures to mitigate landslides disasters. He has published over 350 technical papers in various international journals, conferences, workshops and symposia to date. Prof. Hazarika has several years of experience in teaching, research as well as geotechnical practice and consulting both within and outside Japan.
Stuart Haigh is Reader in Geotechnical Engineering at Cambridge University, UK and a Fellow of Trinity College, UK. His research interests involve physical and numerical modelling in areas including earthquake engineering, retaining wall and pile behaviour.He has published over 70 papers in various international journals and will be the 2021 Geotechnique Lecturer.
Haruichi Kanaya is Professor in the Graduate School of Information Science and Electrical Engineering, Kyushu University, Japan. In 1998, he was a visiting scholar in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. He is a senior member of IEEE, USA and IEICE, Japan. His research areas include superconductors, RF CMOS LSIs, antennas and energy harvesting systems.
Babloo Chaudhary is Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) Surathkal, India. His research areas include geo-disaster prevention and mitigation, dynamic soil-structures interaction, ground improvement, coastal geotechnics, energy geotechnics. He has more than 50 technical papers in various international journals, international and national conferences, workshops and symposia. 
YoshifumiKochi is currently a Representative Director of K’s Lab. Co. Ltd., Yamaguchi, Japan. He is a specialist in landslides disasters and their mitigations. Dr. Kochi has 17 years of experience in teaching engineering ethics to undergraduate students. He has been involved in geotechnical practice and consulting both within and outside Japan for more than forty years.
Masanori Murai is Senior Engineer in the Division of Civil Engineering Technology at Shimizu Corporation, Tokyo, Japan. He received his Ph.D. in Geology from Kochi University, Japan in 2007. As a professional civil engineer, he has participated in many projects related to infrastructure development and landslide mitigation.
Sugeng Wahyudi is Chief in Technology Planning Division at NITTOC Construction, Tokyo, Japan. He obtained doctoral degree in Engineering from Kyushu University in 2011. Before joining NITTOC in 2020, he worked at National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan and Kyushu University, Japan. His research interests include nanobubble technology and AI to develop advanced and smart solutions for construction site.
Takashi Fujishiro is the representative of the Ground Disaster Prevention Research Institute, Kitakyushu, Japan, a company which he started in August 2019. He specializes in geology and has several years of experiences in surveys and design of slope disaster countermeasures, and road planning and maintenance.
