Jenson covers a great deal of landscape in The Works of God and though his breadth of learning is everywhere present it is not pretentious ... Jenson moves between ecclesial traditions and academic disciplines with both ease and clarity and doe so in such a way that the issue under consideration is illumined rather than obscured ... an example of how theology should be written.
Jenson's work deserves a wide audience and careful reception. He has a very keen eye for presenting the 'real issue' at the heart of theological questions that have become silted with confusion and in that his presentation of the Faith has real pedagogic value.
