Recenzii

The excellent opening essay by Robin Waterfield will prove essential reading for students of the historical Socrates. Several other essays provide significant correctives to older approaches and indicate fruitful directions for further exploration. Summing Up: Recommended. Lower-level undergraduates through graduate students; general readers.
This new companion to Socrates will be very welcome to scholars. The book aims "to assemble a comprehensive guide to the main issues engaged in the philosophy of Socrates". These essays fulfill that aim admirably ... [and] is an excellent volume on Socratic philosophy for advanced readers.
