Wilhelm Baum is Associate Professor and teaches Medieval History at the Universities of Graz and Klagenfurt, Austria. He is author of of The Transformation of the Myth of Prester John (1999) and Ethiopia and Europe in the Middle Ages (2001).
Dietmar W. Winkler is Full Professor of Patristic Studies and Ecclesiastical History, and head of the Center for the Study of Eastern Christianity at the University of Salzburg, Austria. Among others, he is the author and editor of Hidden Treasures and Intercultural Encounters (2009), Syriac Churches Encountering Islam (2010) and From the Oxus River to the Chinese Shores (2013).
