Notă biografică

Olayinka Akanle, Ph.D. is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the SARChI Chair in Social Policy, University of South Africa (UNISA), South Africa. He is also a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Faculty of The Social Sciences, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He has won scholarly awards like being a World Social Science Fellow (WSSF) of The International Social Science Council (ISSC), Paris, France, Laureate of the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA) and awardee, University of Ibadan Postgraduate School Prize for scholarly publication. He has published widely in journals, books, technical reports and encyclopedia. His research interests include: Development Studies, Sociology, Social Sciences, Social Policy, Social Theory, Migration and Diaspora Studies, Child, Youth, Gender and the Family in Post-Colonial Africa.
Jimi Adesina is Professor and the DST/NRF SARChI Chair in Social Policy at the College of Graduate Studies, University of Sou
th Africa. Previously Professor of Sociology at Rhodes University and Professor and Head of Department at the University of the Western Cape, he serves on the Boards of the UN Research Institute for Social Development (Geneva). His research interests include Social Policy, Social Theory, and the Political Economy of Africa’s Development.
