Victor Tanasa a dat nota:
While scrolling through The Fall of Babel's goodreads page, I glanced at Mark Lawrence's review and the phrase "endings are difficult" stuck out. You don't say that when the ending is good and / or unanimously liked, so as I kept reading, I kept asking myself "when is this going to turn bad?". Fortunately, it didn't. Although I certainly did not expect that ending! I would have loved some more answers, but plenty of mysteries remained by the end of the book. There was more action than I cared for and I felt a tad unsatisfied at how the Senlin - Marya relationship was resolved. These issues aside, it's been a fantastic journey, filled with memorable characters, unique and fascinating world building, great fun and emotion. I would absolutely get another book set in this universe. Or really, just something written by Bancroft.

THE SECRETS OF THE TOWER WILL FINALLY BE REVEALED IN THE REMARKABLE CONCLUSION TO THE HIGHLY ACCLAIMED BOOKS OF BABEL SERIES.
As Marat's siege engine bores through the Tower, Senlin can do nothing but observe the mayhem from inside the belly of the beast. Edith and her crew are forced to face Marat on unequal footing, with Senlin caught in the crossfire, while Adam attempts to unravel the mystery of his fame inside the crowning ringdom. And when the Brick Layer's true ambition is revealed, neither the Tower nor its inhabitants will ever be the same again.
