Recenzii
"This book provides a fascinating and illuminating exploration of the vital hidden assumptions in psychological theory, research, and practice. Slife, O’Grady, and Kosits have assembled an accessible, concise, must-read text for every psychologist and student of psychology. They wisely show us how our preconceptions guide our professional work without suggesting that we can purify that work of our grounded humanity." —Blaine J. Fowers, Professor of Counseling Psychology, University of Miami, USA
"Those of us who turn to the science of psychology for empirically-based answers concerning how to be a good person and lead a good life inevitably will be disappointed. The chapters in this splendid book explain why." —Jack Martin, Burnaby Mountain Endowed Professor of Psychology, Simon Fraser University, Canada
"A duty of theoretical and philosophical psychology is to expand the boundaries of the discipline, profession, and our horizons. This book impressively accomplishes this task by focusing on the relevance of unquestioned worldviews in theory and practice. Karl Jaspers would have been intrigued." —Thomas Teo, Professor in the History of Theory of Psychology Program, York University, Canada.
