Recenzii
"Dr Lings was unique in his ability to convey the most subtle nuances of the Arabic language--whether prose, poetry or, as in the present book, divine revelation itself--into English of the very highest and purest calibre. In this collection of Qur'anic verses translated in his numerous works one is treated to a rare glimpse of how the English language can be skilfully crafted in order to convey something of the spiritual grandeur of the Arabic revelation. Such translations are the fruit not only of a mind that had grasped the meaning of 'the letter', but also of a heart that had fully assimilated the spirit of the revelation." Dr Reza Shah-Kazemi, author and scholar of Sufism and Interfaith dialogue.
