LARRY M. LANE teaches Business Administration at The American University in Washington, D.C. Prior to 1987, Dr. Lane was a charter member of the federal Senior Executive Service and was Deputy Director of Personnel at the U.S. Department of the Interior. He received both the Meritorious and the Distinguished Service Awards, the two highest awards of the Interior Department.JAMES F. WOLF is Associate Professor of Public Administration at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He has written and consulted in areas of Organizational Behavior, Organizational Change, Career and Executive Development, and Intergovernmental Management.
