The Language of Belonging: Language and Globalization

Autor U. Meinhof, D. Galasinski
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 10 aug 2005
This examines a significant aspect of contemporary social life: cultural identities and our linguistic means of constructing them. Recenzii

' this book is highly topical at a time when, in Europe and the world in general, questions of identity and belonging offer significant challenges to society. The choice of the study sites here, combined with the personal identities of the two researchers, has yielded an original study that highlights the unique insight to be achieved in research on identity, through the discourse analytic approach.'
Rosaleen Howard, Newcastle University writing in BAAL News
