L. Marcela Gajardo Jiménez, M.A. in Sociology (1972), Essex University, England. She is a cofounder and former director of the Partnership for Educational Revitalization in the Americas, PREAL. She has published extensively on educational policies and practices in Latin America. She is currently a senior scholar and researcher based at FLACSO-Chile.
