B.J.C. MCKERCHER is Associate Professor of History at the Royal Military College of Canada. An expert in modern British foreign and defense policy, he has recently co-edited (with Lawrence Aronson) The North Atlantic Triangle in a Changing World: Anglo-American-Canadian Relations, 1903-1956 (1995). He is also general editor of the Praeger Series in Diplomacy and Strategic Thought.MICHAEL A. HENNESSY is an Assistant Professor of Naval and Military History at the Royal Military College of Canada. Specializing in the history of technology, low intensity conflict and international security studies, he has published widely on Canadian defense issues.
