Recenzii

In their three-volume work, the editors of The Oxford Annotated Mishnah (OAM) have produced a very helpful resource for anyone interested in the Mishnah. It is an academically informed yet highly accessible new translation of the Mishnah, with accompanying introductions for each tractate and annotations throughout the text.
One innovative and praiseworthy feature of the translation in The Oxford Annotated Mishnah is that it tries, often successfully, to emulate the Mishnah's economy of language... The Oxford Annotated Mishnah is a significant event in the history of Mishnah interpretation. Never before has such an illustrious cadre of scholars joined forces to create such a work.
