Notă biografică
Antti-Ville Villén (formerly Kärjä) is Professor of the Cultural Study of Music, University of the Arts Helsinki, Finland.
Descriere
In the book, music is approached as a sphere of activity where sacred and popular qualities intersect and amalgamate. By recognising postsecular and postcolonial processes of religious change, the cultural dynamics at stake are approached by stressing the multiple dimensions of the sacred and the popular.
