Recenzii
[T]he ambitious intention of the volume ... may pave the way for studies of the metaphilosophical (plural) conceptions of the whole of German classical philosophy.
The approach of this wide-ranging collection is guided by the compelling idea that the actuality of Hegel's thought lies in his systematic conception of philosophy. This groundbreaking volume shows that the critical dimension of the system can be brought to bear on any possible topic of contemporary metaphilosophy, from the scientificity of philosophy to the productive unity of theory and practice
The authors elaborated a research on classical German philosophy to contemporary metaphilosophy. Relevance is the transforming work of philosophy as a creative method and productive structure. Hegel's concept of philosophy as a systematic whole is articulated in most contemporary issues in the dialectic of idealism and realism.
This impressive anthology offers the first to date wide-ranging account of Hegel's concept of philosophy and of its relation to meta-philosophical debates. While combining rigorous historical reconstruction and original theoretical approach, the authors assess the transformative and critical potential of Hegel's notion philosophy and its invaluable relevance for contemporary thought.
The rich and comprehensive collection edited by Illetterati and Miolli is a welcome and timely addition to the rising bibliography on metaphilosophy and on Hegel. It significantly contributes to topics such as the method and scientificity of philosophy, its relation to the sciences and the history of philosophy, autonomy and freedom.
The recent revival of Hegelian philosophy has witnessed a new willingness to engage with areas outside the usual remit of "Hegel scholars". This consistently excellent collection asks not only what philosophy was for Hegel but how Hegel may help in answering what it might be for us.
The brilliant volume edited by Luca Illetterati and Giovanna Miolli more than fills a gap in the recent and abundant literature on Hegel's work. Many intelligent voices from all over the world illuminate there the already imperishable mark that Hegel's philosophical conception of philosophy has left on the discipline.
This volume is a brilliant idea and enormous intellectual enterprise to reconstruct the concept of philosophy through Hegel, taking into account contemporary metaphilosophical inquiries. Luca Illetterati and Giovanna Miolli reunite in twenty-five essays to deliver an innovative and very welcome guide to key interpretations of Hegel's conception of philosophy. The reader is introduced to insightful and provocative discussions, as well as a multifaceted exploration of Hegel's philosophy of philosophy and the most relevant features related to it.
