Notă biografică
Vickie lives in the community of Mayo in the town of Harrodsburg, Kentucky. This is what she loves and writes about. She lives with her husband John they've been married 24 years, they have 2 daughters, and 2 grandchildren she also has 2 dogs and a cat. She has a passion for animals and people, loves history and researching old general and country stores, homesteads and the local history of her home town. Her and her husband own several businesses and are new owners of the old Historic B & S store now named after her, Vickie's Mayo Country Store & Café. She loves trying to preserve History and is doing just that with her new store reopening. She is a Christian and has a passion for working in the Church, singing, playing the piano, teaching, and working with the widows a ministry group she created for her local church. She previously was the owner of a primitive gift shop in 2005, and currently has a clothing and jewelry boutique online and sets up at events in 2016 and still runs it today. Her story is about her life events and history in the towns she was born and raised. The inspiration to write this book came years ago, but, is just now being put into words. The main reason and idea that came for the book started from her being born at home and her father delivering her at home even though it was a thing of the past, not something you hear about frequently as in the 1800s and early 1900s. She is a down to earth person who enjoys life and the outdoors, God's scenery as she calls it. She hopes that this book will inspire you to do new things and enjoy the past, present and the years to come.
