ROBERT SHAUGHNESSY is Reader in Drama at the University of Surrey, Roehampton. He has published widely in the fields of Shakespeare, Renaissance drama and contemporary theatre; his books include Representing Shakespeare: England, History and the RSC, Shakespeare on Film, and Shakespeare in Performance.
