"Aurel Braun is Professor of International Relations at the University of Toronto. He received his Ph.D. from the London School of Economics. His works include The Warsaw Pact: Change and Modernization (forthcoming, Westview), Small-State Security in the Balkans (1983); Romanian Foreign Policy Since 1965: The Political Military Limits of Autonomy (1978); The Middle East in Global Strategy (editor) (Westview, 1987); and Ceausescu: The Problems of Power (1980). He is the author of numerous articles and chapters on Soviet-East European relations, the Warsaw Pact, the CMEA, and strategic issues. His articles have appeared in Obis, Problems of Communism, The International Journal, Millennium, and Sudosteuropa."
