Cassiopeia Gaunt a dat nota:

Anonim a dat nota:

Beautiful, perfect for young witches and wizards. The Tale of The Three Brothers is the same as the one from the Harry Potter series.

Textul de pe ultima copertă

The Tales of Beedle the Bard, a wizarding classic, first came to Muggle readers' attention in the book known as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Now, thanks to Hermione Granger's new translation from the ancient runes, we present this stunning edition with an introduction, notes, and illustrations by J.K. Rowling, and extensive commentary by Albus Dumbledore.
Never before have Muggles been privy to these richly imaginative tales: "The Wizard and the Hopping Pot," "The Fountain of Fair Fortune," "The Warlock's Hairy Heart," "Babbitty Rabbitty and Her Cackling Stump," and of course "The Tale of the Three Brothers." But not only are they the equal of fairy tales we know and love, reading them gives new insight into the wizarding world.
This purchase also represents another very important form of giving: From every sale of this book, Scholastic will give its net proceeds to Lumos, an international non-profit organization founded by J.K. Rowling that works globally to transform the lives of disadvantaged children. wearelumos.org

Caracteristici

We celebrated the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in 2017 and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in 2018 with massive marketing campaigns. This year we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban with just as much marketing magic

Notă biografică

J.K. Rowling is the author of the enduringly popular Harry Potter series, as well as several stand-alone novels and a bestselling crime fiction series. After the idea for Harry Potter came to her on a delayed train journey in 1990, she plotted out and started writing the series of seven books and the first, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, was published in the UK in 1997. The series took another ten years to complete, concluding in 2007 with the publication of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Smash hit movie adaptations followed. The Harry Potter books have now sold over 600 million copies worldwide in 85 languages and been listened to as audiobooks for over one billion hours. To accompany the series, J.K. Rowling wrote three short companion volumes for charity: Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, in aid of Comic Relief and Lumos, and The Tales of Beedle the Bard, in aid of Lumos. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them went on to inspire a new series of films featuring Magizoologist Newt Scamander. Harry's story as a grown-up was continued in a stage play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which J.K. Rowling wrote with playwright Jack Thorne and director John Tiffany, and which is now playing in multiple locations around the world. In 2020, she returned to publishing for younger children with the fairy tale The Ickabog, the royalties from which she donated to her charitable trust, Volant, to help charities working to alleviate the social effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Her latest children's novel, The Christmas Pig, was published in 2021. J.K. Rowling has received many awards and honours for her writing, including the OBE and Companion of Honour, the Hans Christian Andersen Award and a Blue Peter Gold Badge. She supports a wide number of humanitarian causes through Volant, and is the founder of the international children's care reform charity Lumos. J.K. Rowling lives in Scotland with her family.

Recenzii

We're delighted to have worked with Bloomsbury in reviewing the large print editions of the three Hogwarts Library books. We hope that these projects will encourage other publishers to follow in their footsteps and expand the market of accessible and inclusive books
UKAAF is delighted that Bloomsbury has made such a great effort to make this book as accessible as possible to people with print impairments. Our aim is to improve both the availability and the quality of accessible formats in the UK, and this publication is another great step in that direction
Children with dyslexia should also be able to develop a passion for stories and reading, so I very much welcome this dyslexia-friendly version
I am delighted to endorse this edition that has been specially adapted to enable those requiring larger print or those who may be dyslexic to enjoy and access fully the wonderful world of Harry Potter
A moralist, a magician and a great liberal, Beedle is to the wizarding world what Hans Christian Andersen is to Muggles (non-magical people). Refreshingly original . and surprisingly satisfying. The Tales of Beedle the Bard contains all the playful humour and down-to-earth detail that makes her wizarding world so seductive
Five enchanting tales told with the author's confident mixture of wit and wariness tell lessons for both children and parents alike
The stories are simple, original, diverse, witty and wise ... a storytelling treat
